Take a tip out of this woman's book! She was in the Uber on the way to pick up her car from the mechanics. She took it there just to get a simple oil change, but they called her saying she needed all this extra work done and it was going to cost way more. Annoyed, she started to make her way to the mechanics. She relayed this information to the Uber driver who was taking her and he decided to take a side quest. He came with her to the mechanics and handled it all himself, pretending to be her dad! The mechanics started explaining all the extra stuff she needed and he shut them down quickly!
He had the dad stance, tone, and everything! By the end of it, she only ended up paying for the oil change and she was on her way. It was all such a wholesome experience! Sometimes we all just need a dad.

Woman tells her Uber driver how she keeps getting ripped off by the mechanics, so he steps in to pose as her dad: 'He shut them down real quick"
If you are a woman with a car, then you know how intimidating it is to go to the mechanics. Whether you are an experts in cars or not, mechanics have a reputation of seeing a female driver and using that opportunity to get some extra cash. It's a very annoying stereotype that, unfortunately, rings true too often. That's why many women hate facing the mechanics alone. If you find a good trustworthy mechanic as women, you stick with them for the rest of your life.
Until then, you have to conform to the misogyny of it all. How do you do that? Well, having a man with the confidence of a man helps. Usually, for many women, that means bringing their dad with them. Because mechanics don't mess with dads for some reason… But what do you do if you don't have a dad?
